Allen "Big Al" Juneau

Allen “Big Al” Juneau, a resident of Chalmette for the past 66 years, was born on February 6, 1955 to the late Levy and Mercy Chatelian Juneau in New Orleans, LA. He passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his home in Chalmette. Survivors include his wife, Debra Roy Juneau; sons, Robert Lofton (Lauren), Jason Juneau and Cory Juneau; brothers, Dennis (Lucy) and Kenny Juneau (Donna); sisters Eloise Juneau, Sandra Gardache, Gail Nunez (Brian), Karen Gutierrez (Lucky), Joyce Guidry, Jeannie Juneau and Irene Juneau; grandson, Gabriel Lofton; godchild Angela (Angie) Chopin; mother-in-law, Cecelia Roy and sister-in-law Susan Hoo. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Juneau was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Juneau, Sr. and Larry Juneau. Allen was employed by Riley Foods for 30 years as an electrician before retiring in 2017. He enjoyed working on and fixing cars as well as spending time with his family. He was a jack of all trades!”Big Al” knew the plumbing, electrical, roofing, mechanical, carpentry, auto mechanics, air conditioning/heating and refrigeration trades. There was nothing he couldn’t fix himself. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family attended a visitation and funeral service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Allen “Big Al” Juneau at the Chapel of Charbonnet Family Services, 4917 E.
